During his visit to the Fort Jason Brooke met with a group of volunteers, including 50 local teenagers, giving up their Sunday to learn about heritage conservation, and to help with the maintenance of this important community resource. Almost a year since his last visit, just before it reopened to the public, Jason found it very encouraging to see the Fort bustling with activity. The best measure of success for these restoration projects lies in the local communities continuing to make use of the sites, keeping them alive. In this regard Fort Alice has nothing to fear - she is clearly well loved by the people of Sri Aman.
