After 60 years in Sarawak, just before leaving for the last time, Charles gave the instruction 'bury me here...among the people I love the best'. Due to World War 1, Charles's wish was not fulfilled, but it will add a poignant touch to the exhibition to have this small token of him greeting visitors to the Gallery in the years to come.
